1st February – 1st April: Forthglade Doggy Treasure Trail
A visit to Tunbridge Wells isn’t just for humans. Salomons Estate is the perfect place for you and your four-legged friend to explore. With a delightful woodland walk and 36 acres of rolling parkland and gardens, join the Forthglade Doggy Treasure Trail and grab your pooch a delicious bag of Forthglade training treats for their efforts.
8th March: Wedding open day
Whether recently engaged or just looking for wedding inspiration, join us at our Tunbridge Wells hotel for a welcome drink and a selection of sample treats from our wedding menu. A stunning Victorian mansion, designed by prolific English architect and garden designer Decimus Burton, you’ll quickly discover why Salomons Estate is the perfect location for your special day.
21st – 22nd March: Mother’s day weekend

22nd April – 6th May: Burst into colour with the Tulip Festival
Treat yourself to a bulb bonanza at Pashley Manor’s annual Tulip Festival. Saunter through brick terraces and charming woodland with stunning blooms on all sides.
In 2019 more than 40,000 tulip bulbs in 112 varieties were planted at the site, making it a must-see event for flower lovers. And if those dates don’t work for you, don’t worry – Tunbridge Wells’ many stately homes and castles are bursting with blooms throughout the spring.
23rd – 27th May: Catch the next big thing at Unfest
Music lovers of all ages will find something at Tunbridge Wells’ annual fringe festival of live music from unsigned bands. The event takes place at independent music venue The Forum and various other spots throughout the town. Find something new this May at this showcase for local and regional music, spoken word, food and drink.
May – September: Jazz on the Pantiles
Tunbridge Wells is the perfect setting for smooth music. Jazz on the Pantiles gets the town swinging throughout the summer months. With regular Thursday night events making the most of warm evenings in beautiful, car-free Pantiles terraces. The festival has been going on for more than 20 years now, so come and enjoy this super music celebration with us.
June – September: Step into nature in summer
The summer months are when Tunbridge Wells’ gardens and parks really come into their own. From our Tunbridge Wells hotel, you can explore a rich variety of natural landscapes throughout the area.
4th July: VVS Supercar Saturday
Just 20 minutes from Tunbridge Wells, this spectacular and free family event brings hundreds of the world’s rarest and most exclusive supercars to Bewl Water in Kent. Whether you love McLarens, Ferraris or Lamborghinis this is a fabulous opportunity for motor enthusiasts of all ages to get up close and personal with these phenomenal machines.
23rd – 25th August: Local and Live
Don’t worry if you missed Unfest in June, Tunbridge Wells plays host to yet another great music festival over the August Bank Holiday. Local and Live is a free event that takes place at the popular community park Calverley Grounds in the centre of town and at a host of other venues. The 2019 event saw close to 200 acts performing so you’re sure to hear something you like!
14th – 15th September: The Pantiles Harvest Food Festival
Foodies of the world descend on Tunbridge Wells for a month-long fiesta of flavour in September, including the Pantiles Harvest Food Festival, the Tunbridge Wells Beer Festival and the Royal Tunbridge Wells Food and Drink Festival.
It’s a non-stop celebration of all that’s yummy, as the town’s best eateries open their doors for special menus, workshops and events. Why not tour a vineyard, take a foraging masterclass or pick up new skills at a cookery school?
3rd – 4th October: Crunch into Cranbrook Apple Fair
Kent has a rich history of orchards and apple growing. Find out more at the quirky apple fair in Cranbrook.
Naturally, there is plenty of fruit to sample as well as ciders, apple crafts, kids’ activities, tractor rides, Morris dancing, food stalls, fancy dress competitions and more. It’s an unforgettable way to explore a host of Kent traditions.
November: Fireworks with a difference
November is a wonderful time to stay at a Tunbridge Wells hotel – as well as autumn colour, you can enjoy a traditional bonfire night display. For a really special night, check out the Hawkhurst Gang Bonfire Society Torchlight Procession, Bonfire and Fireworks.
Named after a local smuggling gang from the 1700s, the event features historic costumes and a flaming beacon as well as a cracking bonfire and spectacular fireworks. Other celebrated displays are at Dunorlan Park and the village of Rusthall, if you prefer a more conventional bonfire night.
December: Wonderful winter magic
The historic centre of Tunbridge Wells is at its best when decorated for Christmas.
Twinkly lights, hot toddies and Santa’s grottos abound, not to mention the unforgettable open-air skating rink at Calverley Grounds. The whole family will enjoy the skating spectacle and you can even meet Father Christmas in his cosy log cabin.
